Privacy notice

Bound to build is the web design brand of Bound by Iris, run by Ben as a sole trader, who is the data controller. His full name and business details are on our business information page. Questions about privacy: email [email protected] or call 07463 176554.

Visiting the site

We have not added advertising trackers, analytics or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the site. We do not set optional analytics or advertising cookies.

Our contact form

When you send our contact form, what you type (such as your name, business, phone, email and message) is passed to our form provider, FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which emails it to our inbox. FormSubmit may use a spam check (such as a CAPTCHA) when you send. The concept demos on this site, such as the sample bookings, menus and timetables, run only in your browser. They do not send, book or store anything.

When you contact us

We use the contact and business details you give us to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and do the agreed work. We rely on steps you ask for before a contract, on performing an agreed contract, and on our legitimate interests in managing relevant business enquiries. Email is handled through Gmail. Records may be held in our secure working systems and accessed by authorised AI assistance for preparing replies and project work. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

Payments

We take payment by UK bank transfer only. We do not take card payments. When you pay, we see the payer name, amount and reference shown by our bank, and keep these for our accounts and tax records.

Business outreach

We may contact local businesses that we think could benefit from a website. We do this by calling in person at the business (a walk-in), by post, or by phone. We only send a Facebook message, email or text to incorporated businesses (such as limited companies) at addresses they publish, or where you have asked us to. We use business contact details from public sources such as Google listings, business directories and the business’s own pages. We record where we found the details, what we noticed and any reply. We do not buy lists or use tracking pixels, and we check numbers against the Telephone Preference Service (TPS/CTPS) before calling. Say “no thanks” in person, by phone, by message or by email and we will stop. We keep only the minimum details needed to make sure we don’t contact you again. Where personal information is involved, for example a sole trader’s name or number, we weigh our legitimate interests against your rights.

Service providers and transfers

Our hosting provider, Google (Gmail), FormSubmit, Meta (if you message us on Facebook) and our authorised working tools may process data outside the UK under their own data-protection arrangements. We share only the information needed for communication, secure record-keeping and delivering your project. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention and your rights

Unsuccessful prospect records are reviewed for deletion after 90 days unless a conversation is ongoing. Project and payment records are kept as long as needed for delivery, resolving issues and legal or tax record-keeping. You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where this applies. You may object to direct marketing at any time. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
